The sign did warn us of the biting gnats! We did have some good timing though, being within running distance of the car when it started pouring!
Many birds to be heard, but only a few to be seen at the marshes.

Should have taken a picture of Jeffra since we were there for her...but it was a nice time anyway!

Back at the marshes. you might notice a cinnamon teal in there...As to what the hawk in the other picture was....I think it was a juvenile red-tail....but despite the fact that I was so close to it I wasn't sure, which made me think it was a juvenile at least.

The marshes are really pretty and full of birds and life right now! This one flew right over my head, I would guess close to two feet from me!
Can't believe several months of neglect on the porch made my ever-blooming amaryllis bloom for the first time ever. Pretty Cool!

A visitor
Neither of these are great pictures, but today was the second time (the first time was about a week ago) that I have seen a brown-headed cowbird on my feeder! Pretty cool! Just filled the feeder hoping that he and his mate, who I didn't get a picture of, will come back.
